Here's a small plug for my dear friend, Portuguese artist Sonia Almeida, who is exhibiting at the Carl Freedman Gallery EC2A 3PB from November 30th to Jan 19th. Sonia and I showed work on the theme of 'travel' at Bromham Mill back in 2004, together with London-based painter Hannah Birkett and photographer Bob Heffill. A graduate of The Slade School of Art, Sonia now lives in Boston and seems to be holding a new exhibition almost every month, somewhere in the world - definitely one to watch.
